Managing Summer Heat Workshop ensures your feedlot is ready for Summer

Managing Summer Heat

ALFA is bringing back the popular Managing Summer Heat workshop series as an online training program in 2021. This year, the training will be delivered to lot feeders via a mix of online training videos, live zoom seminars and an online assessment, over two sessions in September.

This training, provided by industry experts, will ensure feedlots are prepared for the summer heat season. Lot feeder case studies will see industry personnel share their knowledge and real-life experiences so participants can see how other feedlots successfully put heat management practices in place.

The training will focus on preparing feedlots for excessive summer heat conditions that can have major impacts on cattle health, welfare and productivity. Take home resources including handbooks and checklist tools will also be available to all participants of the training session.

This workshop is relevant to feedlots in any location. It will highly benefit any staff involved in monitoring and decision-making during summer and heat load conditions.

Register your feedlot now to ensure you don’t miss out on this essential training opportunity.

Registrations close 1 September, 2021.
