We have an opening for a Livestock Leading Hand to join our team in northern New South Wales. This award-winning feeding facility, situated in the Shire of Inverell spans approximately 1,335 hectares and is home to 10,000 cattle.

About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Livestock Leading Hand who is passionate about agriculture and cattle, committed to continuous learning and focused on safety. As the Livestock Leading Hand you will provide support to the Manager and Livestock Supervisor in planning, implementing, and evaluating the livestock program.

Key Responsibilities include:
Assist management to create and promote a positive health & safety culture
Use protective clothing and equipment and assist to supervise compliance within workplace
Supervise and train feedlot employees across all livestock program activities and related operations
Participate in planning and implementation of daily work programs
Comply with best practice in animal welfare and quality assurance outcomes
Pen riding, cattle inductions, drafting to specification and support of low stress cattle practices

To be successful in this role…:
Certificate or Diploma qualification in Agriculture, Rural Operations or equivalent
Demonstrated competency in livestock handling and QA programs
A strong work ethic and the ability to manage some heavy work
Demonstrated honesty, punctuality, self-motivation and the drive to improve
Ability to work in a safe manner
Ability to follow instruction, work constructively within a team and autonomically as required
