Communications and Content Producer

  • We’re seeking a confident, energetic communications & PR gun with great written and verbal skills, who’s hungry to own content projects and drive results.

Do you love drafting a press release, hunting down stories, producing newsletters, blog content, social media and editing websites? This role provides all of that variety and more!

As a member of a small and dynamic team, you will collaborate on all ALFA communications.

You will create content for all channels, and assets to inform, educate, and assist our members’ businesses, enabling you to harness your passion for communicating and storytelling through delivery of high quality, diverse, engaging content.

Offering valuable industry experience, networking and interstate travel opportunities, this role will set the right candidate up for a successful communications career, with highly transferable skills.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Creation, coordination, and publication of ALFA’s Communication Activities, including:
  • Member fortnightly e-Newsletter, Member General Messages, Media Releases, Social Media Profiles, Grain Fed Beef Website, Feedlot TECH, ALFA Website, ALFA Lotfeeding Journal,
  • Corporate Communications and Collateral.
  • Assist in the delivery of the Membership Strategy, including handling membership and other stakeholder enquiries.
  • Assist in the coordination of the Association’s Annual Recognition of Excellence Program, including coordinating award and scholarship promotion and communication requirements related to entrants, judges and sponsors and alumni networks.

About ALFA

ALFA is the peak representative body for the Australian cattle lot feeding industry, representing close to 400 feedlots across the country, and led by a board of directors. The communications coordinator role is based at the head office in Sydney, NSW alongside the high performing team of eight staff members.
