Registrations are now open for ALFA & MLA’s webinar on Optimising Transportation & Lairage Conditions for Feedlot Cattle webinar which will be delivered live on 1 June, 2022 via Zoom.
The webinar will extend the research findings of the MLA Research Project in relation to the effect of feed withdrawal on truck effluent, animal welfare, carcase characteristics and microbiological contamination of feedlot cattle.
This webinar will offer participants an understanding of the data from feed withdrawal and effluent volume, as well as the effect on carcase performance. It will also offer practical advice for uses of truck effluent.
With the wider industry issues around transport curfew times, this webinar also gives the opportunity for participants to understand the research behind why curfew restrictions can cause greater animal welfare issues than they seek to address.
This workshop will benefit lot feeders interested in understanding the effects of feed withdrawal on truck effluent, animal welfare, carcase characteristics.
The presentations will be covered over a 2-hour lunchtime online zoom session and be made available post live-delivery on the online training platform, Feedlot TECH.
